I have a strong love for this city I live in. Miami will always have a place in my heart. I live about 20 minutes north of South Beach, so Im pretty quick to take any opportunity I can to travel down and see the heart of it all. I recently partnered with Hyatt Centric to do a little staycation at their new location in South Beach so I can share with you guys my experience. Ive never really done a mini vaca within the city I live in, but I gotta say its something I wish I did sooner.

When traveling I always feel pressured to get out of the hotel or resort and explore the area and meet new people. Since I was already in a place I know and love I didn’t feel the need to really venture out. This really allowed me to enjoy all of the amenities that Hyatt Centric had to offer. Hyatt Centric hotels make a point to place their locations in the most centrally located areas in the city which they are in. This hotel is perfectly located right next to Lincoln mall, with all of the shops, bars and restaurants at a walking distance. Not having to move the car is always a huge perk in my book, especially when your in a place that doesn’t have a ton of parking options.

We did a little walking around and found this really cute area right by the hotel called Hispaniola  Way. The buildings are pink and it has a beautiful Havana look to it. If you want some authentic Cuban food this is where to find it. Hyatt has bikes that you can rent during your stay. By the time we went for them they had all already been rented out, but I loved that this was even an option because literally everything is a bike ride away.

The pool area is pretty epic. Its elevated so you have a fabulous view of the city. During our stay we experienced incredible customer service. You can have breakfast by the pool or there is a nice interior eating area, but I chose to take my breakfast in bed in a true lazy girl manner. My breaky recommendation is the berried waffles. It comes with berry infused syrup and is AMAZZZIINNGG.

Whats nice is, if you’re wanting to swap the pool for the beach, you can just hop down and walk across the street and you will find yourself right in the middle of South beaches crystal clear waters.

Watch my Youtube video on my experience below and subscribe! Im just starting to get into video creation and editing so give me a little bit of slack. Im new to this so my editing skills still need a lot of  fine tuning.

I found a new go-to hair care line that I now never travel without. I started using Eva NYC during my stay and I noticed how soft it made my hair almost instantly. I have two hair types. My natural hair and my weave hair. I used Eva NYC on both and it worked so well on both. The shampoo smells so good and the conditioner makes my hair so manageable. The argan oil helps to repair my hair cuticles and detangle the strands. Its now available at Cosco for $9.99 each which is a steal. These bottles are huge and will last me forever. I love it when I find something that helps with my hair problems.

Down in South Beach there is a new KITH which is pretty much a sneaker heads heaven. Im not gonna lie, it took a lot of self control to stop myself from getting a new pair of kicks. They have the hottest trends and its almost like an attraction. Within the shop theres a little ice cream store with all the best additives. Make sure you try the “Groot”.

These pool side cabanas were such a necessity. Beating the summer heat is hard down in Miami, but it can be handled with some pool time and cabana shade. No complaining here.

Within the Hyatt Centric there is a coffee/juice bar on the bottom floor called Joe and the Juice . This was such a good perk for the first thing in the morning. Although the breakfast within the hotel was incredible,  we made a point to make a few stops for some juice and espresso. Not to mention theres a complimentary photo booth inside I insisted on taking advantage of.

In the end both Mike and I are obsessed with the Hyatt Centric Hotel South Beach. Our stay was more than we expected. Its definitely not your average beach side hotel. Now if I ever need a stay in Sobe when I don’t feel like driving home after those long nights of partying Miami style I know where I will be staying. It has such a fresh new feel to it. We truly felt like it was our little home away from home. Book your stay today
